Arrival in Mumbai and Life

It is Said That Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A) Arrived in Mumbai after becoming a Hafiz, memorizing the Quran. He stayed in a Masjid on Bapu Khote Street near Pydhonie and would teach Quran to children at a nearby Madarsa. After his return from the Hajj pilgrimage, he renounced his modest worldly possessions including his books, and began to roam around Dongri with a stick in his hand. He was leading the life of an ascetic. His miraculous powers came to light when people with ailments and diseases would come to him and get cured if he smacked them with his stick.

While another record states that his transfer has been posted to Mumbai because of his great work and justice in law and order since he is a Barrister, So British Government transfer him to Mumbai whereby he stayed in a Masjid on Bapu Khote Street near Pydhonie and would teach the Quran to children at a nearby Madarsa. After his return from Hajj he left his entire worldly act and resigned the position of Barrister while British Government forced him too much to continue his work but as he refused British were never able to Force him again.

Nature And Personality

It is said by aged peoples and records written by Dongri Police Station that Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A) was jolly and friendly in Nature while speaking the truth, whoever visited Him were never depressed or sad because when he use to listen to people He used to laugh.
Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A)’s Personality was Normal but by the Grace of Allah his face was showered by Noor (Light).

Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A) was tall and slim; his Hairs were long, he used to wear jhubba (Arabic Dress) and carry Asaa (Stick) with him.

Miracles

During the era when JJ Area was Under the Authority of Dongri Police Station

After Arriving in the Spiritual State of Wali, Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A) used to roam around Dongri lanes while calling people in a manner that “All are Going to Die” “do not be so Proud at Your Self”

People used to mock over him so he went to his house (the place where currently He is buried at Bawa Gali) then He collected stones and started throwing on the windows of the buildings in front of his house… Annoyed with this act, People started telling that this old man is mad, inform the Police.
Police were informed by the residence about the entire matter about this old man throwing stones on our windows. A complaint was lodged against Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A), and he was arrested by the Dongri Police. (Currently known as Dongri Police Station)

While behind bars locked in the Jail, Hazrat Peer Syed Haji Abdul Rehman Shah Qadri (R.A) Started Laughing and said I am Free “Because Allah is With Me”

After a minute again a Complaint lodged on Telephone Calling by Bawa Gali Resident that you haven’t arrested that Old man yet?

Police were shocked on hearing this; Constable’s observed that this old man is not present in jail while lock wasn’t unlocked yet!

Again police went in the same area and arrested Hazrat Dada Rehman (R.A) and the officer said; now let’s see how you are able to escape?

In the glimpse of an eye, again the jail was empty whereas Hazrat Dada Rehman (R.A) was sitting on the mountain which is next to Police station while He Is Praying.

Again police arrested him from that Mountain then took him to Jail (This Happened 3 to 4 times) and finally, at the end senior and DCP Officer of British Era Dongri Police Department knee down in front of him and said surely you are Saint.

That Mountain Today Known as Chilla Mubarak and it is located inside the Dongri Police station, Sandhurst Road, Nearby Sandhurst Road Railway Station, Mumbai.
